Sea By Day in San Diego
The seed for Sea By Day was sprouted in a simple moment; I couldn’t find what I wanted, so I made it.
Several years back, the only outdoor pillows I could find were dull and expensive. So, I taught myself to sew and made the pillows myself! I loved selecting the fabrics and putting them together in my own way. Then I started making wine bags for my friends with the leftover fabric. They were a hit! Everyone loved them and I felt great!
A friend asked me to make her a beach bag. After lots of girlfriend testing, I created the Classic Beach Bag and the Bucket Bag.

As Sea By Day has grown, I now have my own proprietary bright and bold prints and manufacture all of the Sea By Day products here in San Diego, California! We have outdoor pillows, beach bags, and in 2021 changed gears to make great face masks. Sea By Day products can be found here on my website, on Amazon, Etsy and in local boutiques and spas on the West Coast.

Kristi Day is CEO and owner of Sea By Day, an Outdoor Lifestyle business. She grew up in Southern California with a love of the ocean and outdoor sports. She has a degree in Business Management and Marketing. After college her career was in sales and marketing in the tech and telecom industries. She now lives in Solana Beach, California where she is raising her children, and is very involved in the local community. She enjoys early morning tennis, sunset dinners with friends and any chance to ski fresh powder.
